The LPC are working with South Tyneside Council on a pilot to offer flu vaccinations to frontline private care staff (who are not eligible for NHS vaccinations) working in residential and domiciliary social care settings as part of the councils winter planning.
The LPC are asking for pharmacies to come forward who would be prepared to vaccinate these staff on a bespoke service with the council. The council have expressed that they would like to capture eligible private sector care staff for NHS Health Checks in addition to their Flu Jab. So ideally the council are looking for pharmacies that can deliver both of these service.
The LPC will be in touch with the finer details of this project but as it stands the council are looking for pharmacies to deliver the flu jab during the pharmacies working hours as well as some outreach work within the care settings.
Pharmoutcomes will be used to collate data and make claims. PGD and SLA information will be distributed in due course.
The council are looking for a start date of 1st October.
