Emergency Hormonal Contraception
South Tyneside Public Health Pharmacy Service
South Tyneside Public Health currently offers free EHC to the public via a commissioned service through South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trusts Sexual Health service. The service is commissioned via PSNE.
Any Pharmacy can put itself forward to offer the service. The service has been commissioned via contract variation with PSNE.
The contract variation and service spec are below. You can sign up using the contracting module on Pharmoutcomes or via sending the signature page to PSNE.

Pharmacist
Each Pharmacist offering the service needs to complete the criteria specified in the PGDs and Service spec. Please ensure you read them and complete the declaration of competence and attend a live update event. Please Click Here to access the slides and videos form face to face update training required to help you comply with the contract and enable you to fill in your Declaration of Competence.

4.Enrol as a practitioner on the Pharmoutcomes Module
You need to check with your employer's HR department to see if they can facilitate a DBS Check. This must be supplied to Public Health.
