Emergency Hormonal Contraception
South Tyneside Public Health Pharmacy Service
South Tyneside Public Health currently offers free EHC to the public via a commissioned service through South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trusts Sexual Health service. The service is commissioned via PSNE. Any Pharmacy can put itself forward to offer the service. The service has been commissioned via contract variation with PSNE.

Independent Pharmacies need to sign up to the service using contracting module on Pharmoutcomes.
The Process is different for CCA companies or small multiples. Contacts at your organisation will have been contacted to sign up to the service. Please check with you head offices to ensure you are signed up before proceeding with the service. Any queries regarding contracting should be directed to PSNE via [email protected]

Pharmacist - Training
Each Pharmacist offering the service needs to complete the criteria specified in the PGDs and Service spec.
