Leaflets.....Posters.....Models.......Public Health Campaign Briefings......Stakeholders.....Workshops.....Networks Thank You to the stakeholders who have been involved in the series of workshops we have hosted following the closure of the Public Health Information Resource Service earlier this year. The workshops have been invaluable in helping us to identify the key issues for stakeholders, in terms of access to public health information and resources. The workshops have been solution focused and we have been able to create new opportunities that will enable key elements of the Public Health Information Service to continue and develop into the future. Final Stakeholder Event : 4th September 2014, 2-4pm Central Library, South Shields, NE332PE The event will also include an opportunity to register with our new service to enable stakeholders to loan out the Public Health Models/DVDS/Training Packs/Literature. Everybody is welcome..................Please confirm your attendance with Emma Knight [email protected] as soon as possible as places will be limited. Thank You. Please feel free to circulate this email to any relevant colleagues/networks. Thank You.

As you will know the LPC's across the region have been working with each other and the NHS Area Team to build on previous years pharmacy flu services. Both the LPC and the Area Team are hoping for the service to grow this year and you will have seen plenty of communications coming through about the necessary training and how to obtain stock. All the resources you need to provide the NHS flu service this year are located on our Northern Pharmacy website (www.northernpharmacy.net). The NHS service will be start from the 1st Septmebr 2014 so you need to be preparing from now by training, promoting to patients and procuring stock. Radio Advertising This year for the first time (in collaboration with all the Northern LPCs) we have organised radio advertising to help drive the public into community pharmacies for vaccination! Advertising the flu service is a real first for the LPC and hopefully it will help us all to provide this important innoculation service to the vulnerable members of our society in particular the under 65 at risk and pregnant women. If you’ve not yet done so, it’s not too late to book your training and order vaccine supplies with early delivery dates. See www.northernpharmacy.net Pleas note if you plan to use Novartis Vaccines and wish for early delivery you need to fill in the form on the northern pharmacy website and return it by 8th August. If you have already ordered stock you will need to email Novartis to ask them forearlier delivery dates. Preparation NOW will mean you are ready to start the service as soon as vaccine is available in September. Should you have any queries about offering the service please don't hesitate to contact Sami our Flu Lead. ![]() Further to our message last week the Primary Care Team have now completed the move from Rapier House into the NHS Area team offices located in Newburn and Darlington.
