South Tyneside CCG has been in touch with your LPC about a short term project working with South Tyneside Practices. The LPC is calling for pharmacist volunteers to come forward to work within local practices in a practice support role on a short term sessional basis. Work to be undertaken will include: medication reviews, repeat dispensing initiation, aligning prescriptions against local formulary choices. Pharmacists who would like to do this work must have a clear understanding of emis and practice support experience as there is no training available.
There is also an opportunity to provide some sessions to young parents outlining "think pharmacy first" scheme.
