Gateshead public health are still waiting for a variety of documents from pharmacies and pharmacists. Below is a summary of what is required.

In Summary to continue offering the EHC service
Pharmacies need to have a contract signed by their owner / director
Individual pharmacists needs to complete the following (in the lat 3 years)
- Attendance to an update training
- Completion of Emergency Contraception CPPE Pack
- Completion of Contraception CPPE Pack
- Completion of Child Safety CPPE Pack
- Signed copy of the SLA
- Copy of DBS / CRB check.
**** Important Please Note ****
If you attended the EHC training last year you will have been registered to your pharmacy and if you do not complete the above requirement it could result in the pharmacy not meeting its contractual obligations and having the EHC contract withdrawn.
If you have supplied all your documentation however have not attended an update training because of lack of training dates please let public health know.
Pharmacy owners / managers should check with public health to ensure that the pharmacists who are registered at their pharmacy are still in a position to offer the service.
