We are sorry to all of you with vaccine stock who are itching to get going! The LPC have been trying to agree a local interim service with NHS England, and this has been delayed as NHS England have decided that a revised PGD is needed (The LPC don't agree, but that's another story).
We have been told that everything necessary for a local service will be in place by Monday 14th or Tuesday 15th. In the meantime, we have been told that the national service MAY be launched anyway sometime next week.
As soon as we have anything concrete we will let you know, so please keep looking at Pharmoutcomes.
In the meantime, can we suggest that you complete the Declaration Of Competence for providing flu vaccination to get ready for providing the national service? It looks quite daunting, but the training you have undertaken is perfectly adequate for completing it. The DoC is below.
