The LPC are asking for pharmacies to come forward who would be prepared to vaccinate these staff on a bespoke service with the council.
The LPC will be in touch with the finer details of this project but as it stands the council are looking for pharmacies to deliver the flu jab during the pharmacies working hours as well as some outreach work within the council buildings and various care settings across South Tyneside. Clinic dates and times will be finalised in due course
This service will be launched on the 26th October 2015 and all eligible staff will be advised to present in the pharmacy with valid ID in order to get their free flu jab. (Which South Tyneside Council will pay for).
GST LPC have negotiated a £10 fee per vaccine given (either at the pharmacy or offsite in one of the various settings). In addition a £150 fee will be paid for delivering a flu clinic off site for 6 hours or £50 for a 2 hour offsite session. This should help cover any locum costs incurred. Remembering you will still get your £10 fee per jab given offsite.
A new Pharmoutcomes module will be used to collate data and make claims for this council service.
PGD and SLA information will be distributed in due course.
The council are looking for a start date of 26th October 2015
