NHS England have asked us to distribute the following message regarding the recently commisoned local Emergency Supply Service (PERMSS). Please read the content very carefully, it details some very important changes to the existing scheme.
NHS England Cumbria and the North East has taken the decision to extend PERMSS (The locally commissioned Emergency Supply Service) in order to support patients whilst NUMSAS is mobilised in the area.
The extension of PERMSS has been approved from 12 January 2017 until 31 January 2017. From 12 January 2017 only patients referred by NHS111 are eligible for this service.
Walk-in patients, from 12 January 2017 are not included. Click Here to download a contract variation.

In order for claims to be made for walk in patients seen between 21 December 2016 and 11 January 2017, the walk in element on Pharmoutcomes will remain open until 17 January 2017. After this time, claims for walk in patients seen between 21 Dec 2016 and 11 Jan 2917 will not be accepted.
