Throughout history people have used the white and yolk of eggs as medicinal ingredients.
Egg whites have been used as an antidote for poisoning or to make poultices and for facial cosmetics.
Egg yolks were used to purge the system, for jaundice (because of the yellow colour)...and in some shampoos, make-up, soaps and conditioners.
These days, eggs are more likely found in cakes, omelettes and confectionary like Easter Eggs!
