The LPC are pleased to announce the launch of 2 new pharmacy services in the area. The Transfer of Care Service accross South Tyneside and Gateshead and a New Pharmacy First Minor Ailements Service Accross Gateshead.
An event is planned to launch both services on 16th July 2015. The LPC would really encourage you to attend the meeting in order to ensure your pharmacy learns about the service and signs up for them.
1. TRANSFER OF CARE in GATESHEAD & SOUTH TYNESIDE
The Transfer of Care service has been operational in North Tyneside for some time now and with great success. Both Gateshead (QE) and South Tyneside (STFT) Hospital Pharmacists will have access to PharmOutcomes to refer patients to their community pharmacy for services such as MUR's, NMS, Stop smoking, etc. This event will demonstrate the software used and the processes to follow, as well as giving key tips and hints on how to deliver this service successfully.
2. GATESHEAD MINOR AILMENTS SERVICE
The Gateshead CCG have commissioned a Minor Ailments Service for all community pharmacies to commence on 1st August 2015, please attend this session to sign up to the SLA and receive information on the formulary, consultation and claiming processes.
The event on Thursday 16th July, IS at The Quality Hotel, Boldon Business Park, Witney Way, NE35 9PE
