G&ST LPC (in partnership with ST CCG) are delighted to announce that the very exciting and trail-blazing micro-spirometry and early identification of COPD service pilot is to be launched next month (or as soon as you are trained)
We have 2 training events scheduled for 22 October and 4th November, both events will be at the Clarion, Boldon, 6pm for refreshments and 6.30-8.30pm for the presentation, demonstration and training. You only need to attend one session. All pharmacies that attend the training will receive their own micro-spirometer and a supply of disposable mouth pieces. Technique will be trained and checked on the session. Pharmacies will be paid £10 for every test they deliver in line with the SLA. We would encourage the pharmacist to attend with one or two experienced staff members (ideally your healthy living champions). Please book all attendees onto one of the two session using event bright, clearly indicating your pharmacy and role. This session goes over the PGDs in turn, Dr Anji Curry and Louise Lydon (the authors of the PGDs) will ensure you’re fully trained to use these documents and that you understand all of the aspects. In addition Louise will provide your pharmacy with the clinical equipment (otoscopes, tongue depressors, consumables etc) Please use the booking form below to sign up |
