10 pilot site pharmacies needed!!
Following collaborative working with the British Lung Foundation, TEVA Respiratory and G&ST LPC we are pleased to advise of a COPDscreening pilot to take place in Community Pharmacy. We require 10 community pharmacies to come forward across GH & ST, who have an active stop smoking service, consultation room, dedicated staff and a committed pharmacist. Full training on spirometry, COPD update, screening questionnaire, etc will take place on Wednesday 9th September, at The Quality Hotel, Boldon, 6pm for drinks and buffet 6.30-8.30pm for training. Please register your interests by filling in the Event form below and pharmacies that come forward will be mapped against COPD prevalence demographics and the most suitable pharmacies selected. You can bring extra staff with you to the training session. PLEASE NOTE --------------------- Unfortunately due to circumstances outside of our control we are having to postopone this event. We hope to have it re-arranged as soon as we can. Currenlty it is looking like it will need to be in October. As we do not have a date yet we will advertise it again through the news feed and you will be able to re-book at that time. We are sorry for any inconvenience. The LPC and Gateshead Council are pleased to announce a sexual health update training session. The session can be used to train for EHC service in your pharmacy. You can use it for your annual update or as your initial training to provide EHC. It will be valid for both Gateshead and South Tyneside EHC services.

We anticipate high demand for this training so we would encourage you to book asap The training event will take place on 24th September at the Quality Inn hotel in East Boldon. Food and Drink will be available from 6pm with the meeting starting at 6.30pm.  Due to high demand for flu training the LPC is pleased to announce further dates for flu training.
