Stoptober - 2013 Campaign

7/8/2013

The order line for Stoptober 2013 is now open – the pharmacy order line on 0800 678 3173 is now open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, until 28th October 2013 or whilst stocks last.

Stoptober is a 28-day national stop smoking challenge – and will run again in October this year. It has been shown that people who manage to stop smoking for 28 days are five times more likely to stop for good and last year, thousands of people stopped successfully in the biggest stop smoking challenge ever.

As soon as smokers join Stoptober, they’ll start receiving as much (or as little) support as they want to keep them on track. All Stoptober support is free and includes:

  • Stoptober stop smoking pack
  • A 28-day smartphone app, with daily updates and quitting advice
  • Text service for motivational pick-me-ups
  • Detailed tools and tips for coping, as well as the encouragement and support from thousands of people going through the same thing via Social Media

Stoptober provides a great opportunity for a conversation starter with customers on quitting and gives pharmacy teams a fantastic and engaging way to discuss products, tailor advice and introduce stop smoking services.

It will be supported by a high profile advertising campaign, and community-level engagement across England with retailers, employers and local authorities all getting involved to make Stoptober bigger and better this year.

Promotional materials, such as posters and leaflets are being provided free of charge to support the campaign and encourage England’s smokers to join the challenge.   The pharmacy order line on 0800 678 3173 is now open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, until 28th October 2013 or whilst stocks last.
