We recently reported about the governments consultation on Pharmacy entitled A Call to action. The LPC has funded a locality event for the LPN in our area. This LPN event is one of four events being held around the region to debate the consultation and help formulate local responses. The local event (which will be held at the Quality hotel in East Boldon) will be run alongside other LPN events organised in other parts of the region. You are welcome to attend any of the events and all will be the same meeting. Details of the other events elsewhere in the region can be obtained by clicking HERE. If you would like to attend the local event at the Quality Hotel East Boldon on the 4th March 2014 please register below using our booking form. The aim of the events are to stimulate debate in local communities and help shape local and national strategies for the service delivered by community pharmacy. This will help to shape future sevrie provided by community pharmacy in the area. NHS and Social Care Services are experiencing increasing pressures in Primary Care, and for urgent and emergency care, Community Pharmacy has much to offer in helping to reduce some of these pressures, but is currently under-utilised This consultation needs the input of CCGs, Health and Wellbeing Boards, Local Authorities, Staff in Community Pharmacies, and a range of Health and Social Care Professionals. This event will help gather the input from the profession. |
If you can't attend the local event other LPN Events around the Region are contained in this flyer. |
The Consultation will cover how community pharmacy can :-
The Meeting will be held at the Quality Hotel East Boldon and is open to any Pharmacists, Pre Reg Pharmacists and any other Pharmacy Stakeholder. Food and Drink will be available from 6pm with the meeting starting at 6.30pm. Please register below to attend. The LPC believes this is one of the most important consultations for pharmacy and its impact may affect the future of the profession so we urge all pharmacists to make your voice heard by attending one of the events. |
Now the events are over it is important that you get your thoughts in.
You can do this by using the document below and sending it to the Area team or via submitting your own response by clicking here.
