Domiciliary Covid Vaccines (Astra Zeneca) in South Tyneside
As you may have heard the NHS is anticipating approval of the Astra Zeneca Covid vaccine next week, which will be subject to more regular storage and transport conditions, making it suitable for domiciliary visits.
South Tyneside CCG are hoping to mobilise vaccination of house bound patients early January with a very targeted and efficient vaccination programme to be rolled out rapidly
To assist community nursing teams and general practice the CCG are requesting pharmacist support to deliver this.
The CCG are looking for pharmacists to Express an interest to deliver either
full days of visits
2hour (leaving pharmacy as RP)

Training / Registration Requirements
In the meantime you should register with IMPAX Hub and have completed the online training in the same manner as for working in the covid centres. Details can be found by clicking here.
The CCG is looking for pharmacists who are ready to commit from early January, as soon as delivery is received.
