Expression of Interest Application Form
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland PCTs and Local Pharmaceutical Committees have been awarded “Healthy Living Pharmacy Pathfinder” status
To apply, community pharmacies need to meet certain criteria including having at least one member of staff (non pharmacist) trained as a Health Trainer Champion (or similar status)
Ed Young from the SHA agreed that South Tyneside pharmacists could attend the training funded by the SHA
At the information events, we gave out Ed’s contact details (as agreed) so pharmacists could book onto training programmes
Unfortunately, I now understand Ed is not at work so as an interim measure, Gateshead has “given” 24 places to ST to keep the initiative moving whilst I work with the SHA to see if anyone can take over Ed’s role and help ST pharmacists book onto the programme
Please note that South Tyneside pharmacies will not be disadvantaged from gaining HLP status because of this delay in providing training
For any further information please contact Pam Lee
Due to issues reported by South Tyneside pharmacies could you please update the information sent out by the LPC regarding the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) Level 2 training.
As an interim measure it has been agreed to allow 1 applicant per pharmacy from South Tyneside to access the RSPH course run by Gateshead Council. Places for South Tyneside are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis; they can be booked by emailing Peter Mathewson at Gateshead Council (email@example.com).
Gateshead and Sunderland RSPH Level 2 arrangements remain unchanged.
